The Institut de Neurociències of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Department of Neurosciences of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (New York, USA) have awarded Laura Cervera a 6-month mobility fellowship to visit Dr. Ana María Cuervo‘s laboratory.
This mobility program has been established to promote academic and research collaborations between both institutions. During this period, Laura will assess the interplay between microRNAs and autophagic mechanisms in frontotemporal dementia. This stay will be an excellent opportunity to broaden one of the current research lines of the Molecular Genetics group, and it will also represent a great chance to promote research collaborations between both groups.
