     1.Participate as a volunteer in the SPIN cohort

In the SPIN cohort (Sant Pau Initiative on Neurodegeneration), the participation of healthy individuals is essential to compare results with those of other clinical groups. Volunteers undergo cognitive (neuropsychological), analytical, and neuroimaging tests. You can find more information about the SPIN cohort here.

The requirements to participate as a volunteer in the SPIN cohort are:

1. Be 18 years of age or older.
2. No memory complaints.
3. No neurological (epilepsy, stroke) or psychiatric diseases.
4. Not being on anticoagulant treatment such as Sintrom (acenocoumarol), Heparin, Aldocumar (warfarin), Pradaxa (dabigatran), Xarelto (rivaroxaban), Eliquis (apixaban).

     2. Participate in pharmacological studies

If you or a family member has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or another neurodegenerative disorder, consult your neurologist about the possibility of participating in pharmaceutical studies. In these studies, new drugs against the disease are administered to evaluate their effectiveness. You can get more information about the pharmacological studies here.
