Dr. María Carmona defends her doctoral thesis

Dr. María Carmona-Iragui has defended today her Doctoral Thesis entitled: “Sporadic cerebral amyloid angiopathy: beyond lobar intracerebral hemorrhage. Multimodal biomarker studies of atypical presentations”.

This doctoral thesis, co-directed by Dr. Rafael BlesaDr. Alberto Lleó and Dr. Juan Fortea, deepens in the analysis of different forms of presentation of cerebral amyloid angiopathy, the use of biomarkers for its diagnosis and its relationship with sporadic and genetically determined Alzheimer’s disease.

The academical event has been held in the Faculty of Medicine of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona located at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, and Dr. Carmona has obtained the highest qualification.
