
Dr. Molina Porcel received her MD from the University of Barcelona in 2000 and completed her residency in Neurology at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in 2005. She subsequently pursued a clinical fellowship at the Memory Unit of the same institution (2005–2008), followed by a basic research fellowship in neurodegenerative diseases at the Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Research (CNDR), University of Pennsylvania (2008–2012), focused on neuropathology and the biological mechanisms underlying dementia.
Since then, she has built a career integrating sustained clinical practice in dementia care with research in neurodegenerative diseases. She has extensive expertise in neuropathology applied to neurodegenerative diseases and in the scientific coordination of translational research initiatives.
In 2026, she joined the Memory Unit at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, where she develops a clinician-scientist profile focused on investigating the pathophysiological mechanisms of dementia.
