Laia Muñoz obtained her degree in Pathological, Cytological and Thanatological Anatomy at Escola Superior de Saúde of Porto in 2016. Previously, she had obtained her degree in Anatomic Pathology and Cytodiagnostic Technician at Escola Bonanova in Barcelona in 2008.
In 2008 she worked doing research with exotic animals at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, in 2010 she joined the Memory Unit until 2021 doing research in different studies of molecular biology and proteomics for the approach of early diagnosis in different neurodegenerative diseases and since 2023, she has rejoined the Memory Unit, working on different studies of the immune system in various diseases associated with neurodegeneration.
