Elena Grimal has been a registered nurse since 2011 and graduated from the School of Nursing at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. In 2018 she obtained a Master’s Degree in Surgical Nursing from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and, in 2024, a Postgraduate Diploma in Out-of-Hospital Emergency Nursing.
Throughout her professional career she has worked in several healthcare institutions in Catalonia, including Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Martorell, the Catalan Institute of Oncology in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Laboratorios Echevarne and the RACC, where she worked as a nurse in out-of-hospital emergency care. In 2012 she developed part of her career in Berlin, where she worked for three years as a nurse in the Neurology Intensive Care Unit at Brandenburgklinik.
Her clinical experience includes general surgery, traumatology, onco-hematology, neurology and out-of-hospital emergency care, as well as performing blood draws and the management and processing of biological samples. In January 2026 she joined the Sant Pau Memory Unit as a research nurse.
