Alba Cervantes-Sant Pau Memory Unit Alzheimer-BarcelonaAlba Cervantes González received her degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2018. During the last year of the degree, she did an internship at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom where she studied the effect of mutations on a genetic risk for Parkinson’s disease. She joined the Sant Pau Memory Unit as an intern student during her Master’s thesis participating on genetic studies of Parkinson’s disease. In 2019 she obtained a Master’s degree in Neuroscience from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. A year later, she joined again the Sant Pau Memory Unit to participate in the project e-PROFOUND, related to synaptic biomarkers in Alzheimer’s disease, as the scientific entrepreneur. Currently, Alba Cervantes is coursing her PhD in Neuroscience from the Autonomous University of Barcelona focused on the study of synaptic biomarkers as well as proteomic studies for different neurodegenerative diseases.
