Dr. Susana Fernández completed her medical studies at the University of Oviedo in 2000 and specialized in Neurology at University Hospital of Bellvitge. She worked as faculty neurologist at Hospital Dos de Mayo where she was in charge of the Memory Unit. Since then, she has focused her clinical and research activities on the neurodegenerative diseases. She is now a faculty neurologist at the Hospital de Sant Joan Despí where she is in charge of the Memory outpatient clinic. Since 2011 she also works as neurologist at the Down Medical Center of the Catalan Foundation for Down Syndrome where she develop her clinical and research activity focused on Alzheimer’s disease in Down syndrome.
