Laura Videla, obtained her degree in Psychology from Universitat de Barcelona in 2010. She was trained in intellectual disability through a master’s in “Child Clinical Psychopathology” and later developed her studies in “Neuropsychology: Neuropsychological Diagnosis and Rehabilitation”, both by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). During these years she acquired experience as neuropsychologist in neurodegenerative diseases collaborating with the Memory Unit of the Santa Creu i Sant Pau Hospital. From 2013 she develops her work as a neuropsychologist in Barcelona Down Medical Center of the Fundació Catalana Síndrome de Down. Currently, her activity is focused prevention, diagnosis and research of dementia in people with Down syndrome. At the same time, she is working out in her PhD in Neuroscience by the UAB, focused on the study of the neuropsychology of Alzheimer’s disease in Down syndrome.
