Dr. Isabel Barroeta is an M.D.; Ph.D. devoted to translational research in neurodegenerative diseases and effective patient-centric solutions for improving people’s life quality. She trained as a physician at Universidad de Los Andes (Mérida, Venezuela) and as a neurologist in Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (Barcelona, Spain). She focused her doctoral thesis on the study of human resilience to Alzheimer’s Disease at the MassGeneral Institute for Neurodegenerative Disease / Harvard Medical School (Massachusetts, USA) and obtained her Ph.D. from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain). Her main current research interest is the study of neuroinflammation on Alzheimer´s disease and other dementias.
